In May 2022, the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK) commissioned a comprehensive study to assess the demand for microfinance services in Jordan in cooperation with Ahli Microfinance Company and Tanmeyah, Microfinance Network in Jordan. Between May and July 2022, a total of 2,264 respondents were surveyed to understand their needs and preferences regarding savings, consumption and business loans, digital financial products, as well as marketing and communication channels.

The study included both private and business clients, covering MFI and non-MFI users, and considered a range of factors such as gender, governorate, education, income level, and other socio-demographic characteristics. Business clients were further analyzed by registration status, legal form, invested capital, and industry.
